Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 02/08/23

Midweek racing returns to our premier racecourses in a preemptive effort for Spring racing kicking off and we have big eight race cards set for both Doomben Racecourse and Kensington Racecourse as we come off the back of another roughie win in our best bets tips to now make it four winning roughies in five days and I am keen to back things up again with more winners. As such I have posted full length articles on both which can be found under Wednesday Tips on our website and below I have taken my overall best bet and best outside chance of the day as well as where you can get the best odds for these picks across the Aussie betting sites. There will be a few promotions going around across our betting apps this Wednesday. I have outlined those and highlighted them below the tips as to get an edge on the bookies. It should prove to be a solid Tuesday of racing to kick the week off in a good way and I am keen to get some winners!

You would imagine it would be quite tough to beat the Rob Heathcoate trained Baldasarre here from barrier two with Thornton booked for the ride and getting in at just 56.5kg he should be ultra competitive. He resumed off of a 17 week spell where the market had him to run well and he did, when he sat box seat and chased hard but Orman had You’ll Be Mist with a perfect steer and he just held on when Baldassare was coming on. He’s won second up and placed closely from two second up runs and with natural improvement and a good gate now I think he is one of the better betting spots on the card.

Sneaky Shark is one of few who isn’t on resumption in this race and his fitness edge could play a key role in combination with the booking of Schiller. He was three weeks between runs when racing at Canterbury last time out where he missed the start, found the fence and recovered and when he found a run in the straight he kept kicking to finish behind King of Naples. We all saw what King of Naples did last Saturday so that form obviously reads well and he will have more to offer now here, go close.
