Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 23/10/24

Enjoy the horse racing action with my Wednesday free racing tips. I'm heading to Warwick Farm for my best bet of the day in Race 2. I also like the look of Gold Vancouver in Race 8 at Belmont. The track at Warwick Farm is looking in good condition, it's rated a good 4 for race day on Wednesday. The Belmont track is looking decent for race day on Wednesday, it's a soft 6 rating at this stage. Let's get into it!

In the recent outing for Komodo Dragon at Randwick-Kensington, it came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again. I think James McDonald knows how to handle Komodo Dragon too. Previously, 1st of 10 at Kembla Grange Cls 1 on August 31, 2024 over 1400m. Has good winning form, and should be right up there. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Wednesday. A lot of winning form on dry tracks, the Warwick Farm track should suit it nicely. I think it could be a nice safe each-way bet.

Chanel Cooper was on board last run and won over 1100m at York. So I think that's a good form guide for Wednesday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight. Before that, Gold Vancouver finished first at Northam in a Cls 1 on September 26, 2024, over 1000m. It should enjoy the distance as it’s not finishing outside of the top 3 in 5 career starts. So it really likes the 1000m. Joseph Azzopardi gets the run on Wednesday and has an excellent record on board. In 7 career starts, he has 2 wins aboard this mare and 3 minor placings as well.

It was another epic week of racing last week with some big upsets in the Group 1 races on Saturday. The highlights were Duke De Sessa took out the Caulfield Cup on the weekend and Bella Nipotina won a nail-biter in The Everest. This Saturday is Cox Plate day at Moonee Valley Racecourse and Prognosis is the current favourite.
