Twin Perfection looks like quite a high class animal for Phillip Stokes and whilst we have quite a competitive field in this race with the three betting favourites all being separated by only a few cents, I think that he will be in this for a long way and there is a bit of value with him. He’s only been out of the placings in three of his ten career starts and has already picked up three wins. One of those came three weeks ago on the Pakenham Synthetic where he set fourth in the run and found a lane inside to drive to the front and power clear at the 200m for a soft win. He picked up a win two before then off the Synthetic at Pakenham so will handle the ground. He’s hard fit, flying, maps to be up on the speed and will be tough to beat.

I am a huge fan of the Robbie Litt trained Lancaster Bomber who put on an absolutely belter display earlier this year at Rosehill at double figure odds to launch over a stronger field than this and win well. He mixes his form a bit which is the query but we can only go by his last run which was in a Randwick Midway where he ran on very well to finish third behind Diamond Diesel. I think that off the back of that effort, with the quick turnaround, he likely shows up how he raced last time in Saturday company and he can speck at odds here. His splits off the back of that effort were very good for this assignment and he can settle anywhere and be strong late, the only query is how he shows up, I would be watching him in the yard pre race.
