I didn’t realise how good the midweek meeting we have this Wednesday was until I started to do write my per-track horse racing tips for our site and now that those are up I am keen to get stuck into this as we have big meetings at Warwick Farm Racecourse and Sandown Lakeside race course I have picked out my best bet across both cards and my best outside chance across both cards, full outlines for the tips mentioned here as well as more tips can be found in our comprehensive free horse racing tips under “Wednesday tips”. Best Tip: Sandown Lakeside - R2 - #3 - Time Quest
Time Quest is heading down to Victoria from NSW for Matty Smith after two runs for the stable and only four career starts overall in which he hasn’t run a bad race, placing second in three of the runs and winning his debut run for the stable just over five weeks ago over the 1400m in good fashion before just missing to come 2nd at the same track / trip in his next run. He should appreciate getting out to 1600m and Shinn’s on, can’t see them going badly.

Best Roughie: Warwick Farm - R4 - #5 - Philipsburg
We’ve had a big week so far with our roughie of the day hitting at around $18.00 everywhere on Monday and then again hitting today at around $7.00 with Zac Wadick riding a peach and I am keen to go on with it today, I have landed on Phillipsburg in race 4 who presents third up and is a winner in 2 from 3 third up runs in the past. She raced under Jennings two weeks back in a BM78 when battling hard down the straight out wide to finish midfield and got a big fitness benefit from the run, looks set to peak third up now and draws gate one, I think she is a genuine chance and am playing it 70/30 win place.

Stats and Insights
- Sandown Lakeside has a similar dip to the Hillside in the course at around the 450m mark by the rail. As such it suits horses that make their runs away from the inside, enabling them to avoid the dip at the 450m mark.
- Sandown Lakeside has a smaller turn from the 800 to the 400 compared to Hillside which allows for runners to come on from wider more, this creates more of a shoot out effect
- Warwick Farm track bias skews towards mid barriers and outside runners on distances 1200m+
- Chris Waller is the top trainer at Warwick Farm, with a 14% win rate from 180 runners in the last 12 months and has 10 runners at Warwick Farm tomorrow so watch for those I have outlined in my tips.
