Socks Nation looks like the straight bat option for Maher and Eustace here and I think rates highly off the back of his last run. He’s only had three career starts for the stable so far and last time out he came off of an 8 week break from racing when stepping out over the 1400m at Pakenham on the course proper and running very honestly, looking the winner, and was only found out by one horse late in the piece. Best Roughie: Wyong - R7 - #1 - Outreach To Henry
Outreach to Henry has come up as a big price here and I think it’s crazy given the only reason to doubt him would be whether he still has petrol in the tank fourth up here. He ran a close third placing in a Randwick highway behind Emperor before stepping out in a BM85 at Taree last time out and winning well.

Stats and Insights
- Sandown Lakeside has a similar dip to the Hillside in the course at around the 450m mark by the rail. As such it suits horses that make their runs away from the inside, enabling them to avoid the dip at the 450m mark.
- Sandown Lakeside has a smaller turn from the 800 to the 400 compared to Hillside which allows for runners to come on from wider more, this creates more of a shoot out effect.
- The Wyong racecourse is near circular, offering runners with more dynamic run styles and those that handle bendy tracks a big advantage, also gives those close to the rail an advantage in sprints
