Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 31/01/24
Best Tip: Sandown Lakeside - R4 - #3 - Tycoon Bec
You would think that Tycoon Bec just wins this after the way she has been running in higher grade than this. She stepped out in BM84 grade two runs back at Ballarat when running home very strongly to place second and then came back to racing off of a short three week break at Pakenham last start where she couldn’t get properly into the race from out back but still worked home well. She meets a softer field here, hard fit and ready to go over for her seventh win.

Best Roughie: Randwick-Kensington - R2 - #8 - Impunity
Impunity looks like he is ready to start the career properly now for the Thompson camp after the way he returned to racing for his fifth overall career start back from a 15 week spell. He returned to racing over the 1400m at Warwick Farm where he came from deep in the run after jumping awkwardly to recover well and power home into fourth place. He shapes up well off the back of that run now.

Stats and Insights
- Randwick is a very wide track with a good run-in that makes it one of the fairest tracks around. It’s hard to say backmarkers are advantaged, but they are the closest thing to advantaged at Randwick Racecourse
- Sandown Lakeside has a similar dip to the Hillside in the course at around the 450m mark by the rail. As such it suits horses that make their runs away from the inside, enabling them to avoid the dip at the 450m mark.
- Sandown Lakeside has a smaller turn from the 800 to the 400 compared to Hillside which allows for runners to come on from wider more, this creates more of a shoot out effect.
Best Racing Promotions
