BEST BET - #2 - Amati (NEXT BEST)
I think that Amati narrowly goes on top here for Chris Waller and can win this race without surprising. He last stepped out at this track and trip where he set right at the back of the field and wasn’t a winning threat from out there but after being held up at the turn he found a split at the 200m and drove away to grab the minor placing there. He should get a much softer time of things this time round and based off of his rating out of that he should be winning now.
THE DANGER - #4 - Cirebon
Sara Ryan seems to have a good horse on her hands in Cirebon who has been absolutely flying this time in. He won at Scone over the 1300m second up before clocking a good placing subsequently and then stepping out at this track and trip last time out where he got the win in fine fashion. Hard fit now, if there’s steam in the tank still, he can take this out.
VALUE BET - #1 - Ella Te Ama
Smart horse here for Kris Lees in Ella Te Ama who also gets in very light for this assignment and I think all things considered, dropping back from Saturday grade she should be able to make an impression here. She last raced at Rosehill a couple weeks ago when coming from behind the speed to jet home and finish just behind the placegetters where she was strong through the line. Hard fit third up, back in depth, can win now.
