#3 - Dulcet - $5.50
#9 - Little Baia - $8.50
#1 - Apollo Mission (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $11.00
BEST BET - #6 - Zarrose
Zarrose strikes a winnable race here with a few milk drinkers around him and I think that the Snowden’s have sent out most of their runners to this meeting with a fair bit of intent. This guy has already recorded two wins in his short six start career and looks set to pick up another here after winning first up and then running home powerfully last time out at Warwick Farm over the Mile. Hard fit third up, in form and not too many key threats around him, he’s the one to beat.
THE DANGER - #3 - Dulcet
The market is giving Dulcet a real go and I can see why. He’s only been unplaced in one of his four career starts, got the maiden win out the way early and easy and he shapes up well here. He’s had three trials to lead him back into racing and whilst they haven’t been anything to write home about they certainly have prepped him to have a big fresh run at the races. Clark gets the booking and Waller is the top trainer at this course for a reason.
VALUE BET - #1 - Apollo Mission (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Hard to knock an in form horse and Apollo Mission is just that. He has won two of his past four runs and placed in the other two, the most recent run came at Gosford where he stepped out over the mile and did a bit wrong early but recovered through the run and shifted across heels at the 220m before jetting away to win well. He shapes up well here off the back of that.
