Tattersall's Tiara Preview and Tips 29/06/2024

It’s Tattersall’s Tiara time! I’ve got your Tattersall’s Tiara horse racing tips sorted for the race on Saturday. As always, it’s going to be one of the most exciting Group 1 races as some of the best fillies and mares fight it out for the $700K that’s on offer.

I’ve crunched all the numbers and found five Tattersall’s Tiara tips, so there is certainly something for everyone. The best bookies have got their odds markets up and running as well, so I’ve been able to find some value.

My Saturday tips for the Tattersall’s Tiara are hot off the presses for OnlyRacing.com.au. Also, don’t forget to shop around with different betting sites, so you can find the best promotions for the race. Now, it’s time to check out my Tattersall’s Tiara preview below!

Race Tempo and Likely Leaders

There are 17 runners confirmed for the 2024 Tattersall’s Tiara, with two emergencies in case of any scratchings. Looking at the speed map, I don’t think there is a lot of speed in this race. Runner C’Est Magique led the entire time in the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes, so that is possibly what’s going to happen here.

Pre-race favourite, Bella Nipotina, has drawn wide, so I think she’ll settle towards the back to ensure she stays out of trouble, allowing her to have a crack at the rest of the field in the closing stages of the race. Coeur Volante is another that’s drawn wide, but I think with her early speed, she’ll look to push up near the front.

Tattersall’s Tiara Best Bet - Bella Nipotina

The wide gate has given me a little scare but if you look at the rest of the field, Bella Nipotina is a class above. Jockey Ryan Maloney will have some work to do, but I think Bella Nipotina can get the job done. She has hit the line strongly in her last two starts, so more of the same, please! She is currently the $2.70 favourite, thanks to PlayUp.

Bella Nipotina finished second in the Stradbroke Handicap last time out and this is a much easier race in my humble opinion. The conditions of the race suit her, so I’m expecting big things. Look for her to fall back at the start (hopefully staying out of trouble), so she can have a crack at them in the closing stages.

Bella Nipotina to win @ $2.70.

Tattersall’s Tiara Safe Bet - Coeur Volante

I’m a forgiving person and that’s what I’m going to do for Coeur Volante. She was sitting wide in her recent races and therefore was made to do too much work. Even though she draws a wide barrier, I think now is her time and if she can just get an economical run, she’ll be in the running.

Something else I like about Coeur Volante is the price! She is currently listed at $12 to win with Bet365. It looks as though she has been targeting the Tattersall’s Tiara and I love that Blake Shinn sticks with her. I’m excited to see what she can produce if she gets a clear run!

Coeur Volante (each-way) @ $12/$3.50.

Tattersall’s Tiara Value Bet - Roots

I’m putting Roots as my value bet for the Tattersall’s Tiara mainly because I’m a little confused as to why her odds are so high! Her odds are currently $19 to win, thanks to Dabble (one of the best betting apps on the market) and I think she is really flying under the radar.

She is classy enough, beating Group 1 winner Atishu and Climbing Star in the past, she also should have got one up on Fangirl over this same trip - so that’s saying something! Not to mention, Roots finished second in this race in 2023. Can she go one better this year?

Dabble
Roots to place @ $5.50.

Tattersall’s Tiara The Danger - Semana

Semana is a dangerous horse, so naturally, I’m going to put her as “The Danger” for the Tattersall’s Tiara. She is currently listed at odds of $12.50 to win, thanks to QuestBet. If any of the three above runners fail, I think Semana will be the one to swoop in and get the chocolates.

It looks to me as though Semana has been targeting the Tattersall’s Tiara and after the Stradbroke Handicap, she drops back to her own sex, which makes things easier. She’s fitter for the run in the Stradbroke Handicap, so I think all the other runners will need to watch out for her.

Semana to place @ $3.80.

Tattersall’s Tiara Best Roughie - Lekvarte

A little bit of a throw at the stumps for me with my best roughie, but on her day, Lekvarte can really shake things up. She is currently listed a mammoth odds of $34 to win the Tattersall's Tiara, thanks to Bet Right. Lekvarte doesn’t have good form under 1,350m so just ignore any of those races, including her last start in the Group 2 Moreton Cup.

Her performances before that are pretty solid, she won the Group 3 Aspiration Quality in March and earlier in the season, she took out four of five to kick things off. They weren’t easy races either, with two of them being in Group company. Class is somewhat lacking, but Lekvarte will be strong in the closing stages.

Lekvarte to place @ $7.50.
