Best Multibet Tips of the Day | Feb 29th

The Autumn Group 1 races season continues on here with some solid racing tomorrow, off the back of the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. There’s a bunch of solid races at Kembla Grange racecourse and Pakenham racecourse. On our onlyracing website I have posted a best bets tips article that has helpful track insights and also outlines the best promotions going around across our Aussie betting sites with my best bet and best outside chance of the day.

In this article we focus on putting together a couple multi bets of varying risk as we look to pick up some more lucrative bets in conjunction with our Thursday tips so follow me below as I outline my best multi bets of the day!

Pakenham - R5

#3 - Marble Arch - WIN @ $3.00

Marble Arch should be ready to fire here for the Hayes boys. He’s had three runs back from an 18 week spell and really got going in the most recent one when stepping out to Saturday grade at Caulfield a couple weeks back and after being taken back from the wide barrier he really got going late in a flash effort that saw him place second behind a very sharp winner. That form and his rating out of that run read more than well enough for this assignment and I think all things being equal he wins this.

Kembla Grange - R6

#5 - Suspect - PLC @ $2.40

I have my suspicions that Suspect is quietly a very progressive horse for Mitch Beer. He came over from Waller to the camp at the beginning of the year and was worked along in the paddock before returning from a 22 week spell to make his debut for the new camp at the Hawkesbury where he came from fifth along the fence to jet away very nicely in the straight and only find one better in what looks like a smart horse. He’s been turned around quickly for this, has plenty of upside and draws nicely here. He only runs well IMO.

Pakenham - R2

#4 - Prince Prawn - WIN @ $2.00

Prince Prawn has to rate as a solid bet at evens here for A & J Williams after the way he debuted to the races and I think with natural improvement combined with not meeting the hardest of fields he rates highly here. He came from widest on debut to absolutely blitz home off not the easiest of runs and place third when very strong through the line and I think getting out an extra 200m is going to be exactly what he needs now.

LegsOdds
Pakenham – R5 #3 - Marble Arch - WIN $3.00
Kembla Grange – R6 #5 - Suspect - PLC $2.40
Pakenham – R2 #4 - Prince Prawn - WIN  $2.00
Total Odds: $1.50

Stats and Insights

  • Multi betting can prove very lucrative as you can take two short favourites and land up with very good odds as they are multiplied.
  • Since the returns on multi bets are perpetuated you are able to make smaller investments and minimise your risk
  • Frequency of losses is increased with multi betting as you are generally chasing higher odds bets that have more legs to fulfill.
