BEST BET - #8 - Royal Entrance - (BEST BET)
Royal Entrance is using the proven formula for the Magic Mallions given the 6 most recent winners of that race have run at this meeting. On debut, Royal entrance led the pack at Warwick to win when he was there to be run down but had heaps in hand to hold them off and win. HE has the runs on board for fitness sake over these and he should find the front without much trouble. I will make him my best.

THE DANGER - #7 - Quasimoto 
Quasimoto has good form on paper going into this, he finished third over the 900m at Newcastle in a strong race before going to the Wyong Magic Millions and was game behind Sovereign Fund. Sovereign Fund then went up last weekend for a big win at Doomben. I think he will be fine at 1100m and he will be the one to give Royal Entrance a run for his money.

VALUE BET - #10 - Worx 
Worx I don’t think can be given up on just yet, he should have won on debut in the Phelan Ready before going on to the BJ McLachlan and he was ridden too warm so in the end dropped off behind the Novelist. There looks to be a tonne of speed in this race so if they just let him sit back he should be able to launch at them late.

BEST BET - #5 - The Bopper - (NEXT BEST)
The Bopper is a very talented horse who broke through at the Sunshine coast when around a $4 favourite, running a fast time and without any challengers, easily being steered to the front and running over them. He gets Jmac on now, steps up to the metro track, drops back 100m in distance and even though the race looks to have tonnes of early speed he should get the right jump and with the top jockey steering they could find a cosy spot on the speed with a bit of cover, if not the lead. I see him winning in a number of different ways.

THE DANGER - #1 - Remlaps Gem 
Remlaps Gem draws the inside and likes to go fast early so will go out in front and give them something to catch. Last time out he had to fight for the lead and actually gave a solid kick under the turn but couldn’t take that out, beaten just under three lengths. He is proven on this track and distance and think he will always be hard to beat.

VALUE BET - #7 - Desert Man 
Desert Man seems to want the 900m. He was just second at this track over the 900m when fresh in his first attempt for the Abbott stable before going to the 1100m at Dalby but he couldn’t get to the line quick enough, given every chance but finishing third. With a bit of luck he’s worth a shot at the big odds.

BEST BET - #13 - West Of Africa
I think West Of Africa narrowly goes on top here, he ran over the mile at Doomben a half month ago and came from the back to zoom up around the corner but couldn’t finish that off. That was behind the smart and in form Soothsayer, now gets back to 1300 and draws to be much closer instead of being near last. There is solid speed in this race and his race pattern suggests he will be strong late.

THE DANGER - #1 - Arentee 
Arentee presents as the danger in this race. The Meagher product trained gelding ran a narrow second in The Gateway. Then went to Doomben where he would have been a tragedy beaten had he not got clear but the smart Castle was able to drive through and claim the win. He’s come back in strong form and think that he will be hard to beat against these.

VALUE BET - #3 - I Am Lethal - (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
I am lethal comes back from a month break from the races when placing third consecutively behind some serious horses. The most recent run was at Rosehill when behind Mensa Missile and Democracy Manifest over the 1400m when chasing hard but just falling short late. I think that he will be ready for this now and that his race pattern will suit for this.

Still the best jockey in the North, James Orman, I have stuck with him almost every time he has an outting and particularly in Queensland. He has been in form this past year and these past few weeks, racing for some prominent stables.
