If your main betting interest is Australian horse racing betting then Betfocus is definitely a betting site to include in your portfolio. The self proclaimed pro punters behind the site are clearly fans of Aussie racing, though they do not neglect other sports, and fans of international racing and other sports will centainly find their bases covered. The variety of odds on offer such as Best Tote or Starting Price make it very enticing and well worth betting.

I also really like the clean user experience that you get with Betfocus. The colours work really well and make the screen refreshingly clear and not nearly as cluttered as many of its competitors.

As always the best judge as to how well Betfocus will work for you is you. My best suggestion would be to give it a try and see how well it sits with you.

Betting Offerings - 7/10

Betfocus has all the essential bases covered for us punters: 

• Australian Racing: Horse racing betting is the main focus including all the Group One races, horse racing carnivals and top racing tracks well and truly covered. There is also full coverage of both harness and greyhounds.
• International Racing: The more well known international racing is covered.
• Sport: All the main sport both in Australia and around the world is available to bet on - NRL, AFL, Soccer, NBA, Baseball etc.

Banking Options - 7/10

PayID for Deposits and the promise of Fast Withdrawals (processed 2 x a day) are a big plus in the banking options department.

Mobile Experience - 9/10

The Betfocus app is very easy to use and navigate. The fresh blue/orange/white colourways make for a very clear screen.

​Withdraw Speed - 9/10

Fast Withdrawal is promised with withdrawal requests being processed twice a day. The timeframe from processing will often depend on your bank and can be 1-3 business days, but you can’t argue with the processing commitment.

Overall User Experience - 8/10

Betfocus offers an excellent user experience all round:

• Crisp clean colourways of blue(s), white and orange make for a visually clean and uncluttered screen.
• The navigation is simple and intuitive.
• Easy betting process, including Quick Bet functionality.

Like many of the newer bookmakers Betfocus takes a streamlined approach here. There is a live chat function and email support but no phone option.

Betfocus is definitely a secure site to punt with in the very well regulated Australian wagering industry. Very few concerns for punters in this regard.

Betfocus is a fresh new bookmaker on the Australian bookmaking scene built on the Punterstech wagering platform software.

With a strong focus on racing, which comes as no surprise given that the Betfocus X account (formerly Twitter) lets it be known that the folks behind the site are ‘pro-punters having a crack at bookmaking’. Given that the few ‘tweets’ on the account are all horse racing markets related it’s pretty easy to get a picture of the Betfocus team’s main area of interest.

That said, there are also plenty of sports on offer for those looking beyond racing and plenty of enticing features to grab the interest of the punter. So let’s take a deeper look at what Betfocus has to offer.

Betfocus is most definitely a bookmaker that makes horse racing betting its centrepiece product, in particular Australian racing. As you would expect, all the main Group One races and horse racing carnivals are well and truly covered, as of course are all the top racing tracks around Australia.

Some of the highlights within the racing offering:

• Competitive Odds / Options - the odds/ options offered are excellent with Best Tote and Starting Price offered on all the horse racing, as well as fixed odds and Mid Totes for place bets. With the harness and greyhounds you can get Starting Price, fixed odds and Mid Tote for place bets also.
• Exotics - are all available on all race codes
• Flucs - an easy click of a button gives you the history of the market at a glance
• International Racing - good coverage racing around the world

The only area where Betfocus racing could improve is around form and tipping, which are totally lacking, as is the ability to place a live bet during the race. Don’t forget however that we have excellent free horse racing tips here on OnlyRacing.

The Betfocus app is excellent and follows the lead of the main website in being clean on the eye and easy and intuitive to navigate.

I particularly like the following:

• Quickbet Feature: This is always very welcome and although not unique as many apps / sites have this feature, the Betfocus stays true to the overall ease of use meaning you can select the type of odds (Best Tote, Starting Price etc) and the stake super quickly and easily.
• Next to Jump and Horse Racing Quick Menus: as you can see in the screenshot above these are right there on the home screen when you login which again make the navigating so much easier if you are looking to get a last minute bet on for example.
• Seamless Navigation: The app’s navigation is highly intuitive, with everything just a few clicks away. Whether you're placing bets, checking your account, or managing deposits and withdrawals, it’s all easily accessible.

The Betfocus app delivers a top-notch user experience, making it a fantastic tool for any punter and I would consider it amongst one of the best betting apps.

There are some great products and features on Betfocus as follows:

• Same Race Multis - available on all Australian racing.

• Same Game Multis - available on a lot of the major sports.

• Best Tote or Starting Price - available on Australian horse racing pays the greatest of the 3 main Aussie tores (NSW Tab, VIC Tab and QLD Tab) or the official starting price declared.

• Starting Price - available on all international racing.

• Mid Tote - is the greatest of the declared dividends by the three national TABs (NSW Tab, VIC Tab and QLD Tab) and is available for win bets on Australian greyhounds and harness racing and Australian horse racing place bets.

Betfocus is heavily focussed on Australian racing with excellent coverage of horse racing markets and of course greyhounds and harness. Group One races and all the top racing tracks are of course covered as well as all the provincial and country race meetings.

The access to the markets is super easy with a Next to Go strip menu across the top of the screen (as per many Australian betting sites) but also a Next Racing quick link button in the empty betting slip on the right of the screen which takes you to a screen showing the next 6 races in each code.

There are also a fair number of markets for international racing but not nearly as much as some other online bookmakers. 

As for sports betting markets there is a good amount of choice of sports but no entertainment or politics betting that you might find on other Australian betting sites.

Sports covered include: NRL, EPL, NBA, AFL, Cricket, Baseball, American Football, Ice Hockey, Tennis, Motor Sport, Martial Arts /UFC, Boxing, Golf, Cycling, Volleyball, Rugby League, Football, Basketball, Australian Rules.

As with the easy navigation to the next to go racing markets, there is also a Next Sports quick link button to take you to the events starting the soonest.

In the left hand menu there is a Promotions / Specials link which takes you to a screen showing Betfocus Returns, Betfocus Boosts and Promotions. As betting sites bonuses go I think there’s a reasonable amount offered.

These are updated regularly and the Promotions are offered on a few races each day.

Thanks to the variety of odds offered on Australian horse racing in particular, the odds you can get with Betfocus are very competitive indeed.

On the international racing markets I would say that Betfocus has the most competitive odds that I have seen.
