I am not going to beat around the bush here - I am a Betr fan!

One of the perks of this job is getting to really try out new players on the betting scene and I really enjoyed betting with Betr over this last weekend.

From the first moment I landed on the website and the clean blue and white colourways I was intrigued and keen to delve deeper. From there the whole experience has been super smooth and easy and I am going to be doing a lot more betting with Betr.

The super easy sign up and the auto verification was great. I love the Bet Tokens idea and there’s a lot of fantastic promos that can be used with them. Most of all, the odds are good so you know you’re getting value.

Betting Offerings - 8/10

Betr has a hugely strong array of betting offerings for punters to take advantage of.

Australian Racing: As expected from a top Australian bookmaker, horse racing takes centre stage at Betr. Punters can enjoy comprehensive coverage of all the major Group One races and horse racing carnivals, along with Australia's leading racing tracks. In addition to thoroughbred racing, Betr racing also features full markets for both harness and greyhound racing. International Racing: There is a healthy amount of international racing too on offer, and as I write this on a Sunday racing markets for over 10 overseas jurisdictions, with the usual ‘big boys’ included of UK, USA, Japan, Hong Kong etc.

Sport: A comprehensive amount of sports, again including all the big ones you’d expect like Soccer, Basketball, NRL etc but a sprinkingling of more niche ones as well as some entertainment and politics markets too.

I’m a big fan of Betr, maybe because my first bet won lol! Seriously though, this is a very slick platform and I think the Betr promos in particular make it a very compelling option for us punters.

Betr is an up-and-coming behemoth of the Australian betting landscape, founded in 2022 by veteran bookmaking mogul Matthew Tripp. In early 2024, Betr merged with BlueBet, bringing Tripp and fellow veteran bookmaker, Michael Sullivan, the BlueBet Executive Chairman. These two titans of the bookmaking industry will take the Betr betting site forward over the next few years, solidifying its status as a key player in the market.

Betr is owned by BlueBet Pty Ltd, an Australian publicly listed company (ASX), with offices in Darwin, Sydney, and Melbourne, and operates under a Northern Territory Gambling Licence.

There’s something appealing about online bookmakers backed by experienced industry veterans. This was the same feeling I had when writing the EliteBet Review.

In this Betr review, I’ll explore all aspects of the platform, including Betr horse racing markets, sports, customer service, and the range of Betr promos and betting bonuses. The site boasts a sleek interface, with blue and white dominant colorways that make navigating the Betr betting app or website effortless.

Betr delivers a top-tier racing experience, providing us punters with an outstanding selection of markets and betting offerings. Full coverage is offered for all the major Group One races and horse racing carnivals, as well as all the biggest races and events in the world of harness and greyhounds too. Covering all Australia’s top tracks and infamous Saturday racing, Betr also extends its reach to include smaller provincial and regional venues, ensuring a broad range of options.

Key Highlights of the Betr Racing Offering:

• Highly Competitive Odds: I think Betr is very competitive with the odds offered compared to rivals making a strong case for it to be included in your options, especially if, like me, you are a punter that looks to seek value across a number of the leading Australian betting sites.

Room for Improvement:

To be fair, as good as the racing offering is on Betr, the obvious omission is the lack of live betting on the racing. There aren’t many betting sites which do offer it however, and for me personally it is not a deal breaker as I rarely bet live on racing.

The Betr betting app is excellent, no complaints.

The UX of the app is first and foremost enhanced by the blue and white colourways that just make it all so clear on the eye - whether you’re looking at the Betr betting site, or the Betr betting app itself. 

Building on that strength, everything is organised pretty much as you’d expect in a well built app these days. When you login you’re immediately greeted by the Next To Jump option and from there the navigation is simple, with the key options at the bottom of the screen, and account balance and your bets at the top of the screen.

When it comes to betting products and features, Betr doesn't disappoint, offering punters a wide range of options across both racing and sports markets. I would go so far as saying it is one of the most comprehensive international racing market offerings available to Australian punters. Ranging from the always popular Japan, UK, Hong Kong and USA to the more obscure Chile, Panama and Argentina it is seriously pretty impressive

Sports Betting Markets

When it comes to sports betting, Betr betting provides an extensive variety of sports, catering to many of us, including a sprinkling of entertainment and politics.

Sports covered include NRL, AFL, EPL, NBA, Cricket, Boxing, Motor Sports, and more. Punters can also bet on popular international sports such as American Football, Ice Hockey, and Martial Arts/UFC. For those who enjoy a more niche market, Betr covers sports like Darts, Snooker, and Table Tennis.

Again, navigation is made easy via a number of ways. In the left hand margin of the betting site is a Popular Sports menu, below that is an A-Z drop down list of all the sports betting markets available, below that is a Next Up Sports link which will take you to a screen featuring all the soon to start action, and finally there is a Live Sports link that takes you to the current live action that you can bet on via the customer support phone.

There’s a Promotions link under the Home link in the left hand menu which tells its own story in so far as how much weight is put behind Betr promos. 

For me the standout promo is the 8 bet backs offered on Saturday racing. Each one of these offers a return bet back up to $50 if your runner comes 2nd or 3rd in its race. The beauty of these however is that you can choose to use them in any horse race that day. It’s a great promo!!

These bet backs are made available via the unique Bet Token concept that Betr has. When you go to place your bet, if there is a promo available that uses Bet Tokens you’ll see a little Tokens button underneath the runner which when you click on it opens up the different token options that might be available.

Over and above the standout there are plenty of other Betr promos on offer on Greyhounds and some of the sports markets too. They are all super easy to get your head round and laid out for you on the Betting Promotions and Offers page.

Another favourite of mine is the Protest Payout promo offered on all Australian thoroughbred meetings.

How to Deposit

Simply click the Account Balance top right of the screen on the betting site or straight at the top in the betting app.

Once there you’ll see the option to Deposit and in turn the various options that you can use to deposit. Debit Card, Pay ID/Bank EFT, Paypal, BPay, Google and Apple Pay.

How to Withdraw

Follow the same as to deposit above by clicking the Account Balance at the top right of the website or middle top of the app screen.

Simply add your bank details and you will be able to withdraw.

I’m really happy with the odds and margins available at Betr and they compare well against those of other betting sites.

To show what I mean I selected 3 races at random from the weekend in which I wrote this Betr review. Two from Saturday 13 September and one from Sunday 14 September and compared them to the odds with the TAB and Sportsbet.
