My Verdict
Look, I'm really impressed with Picklebet, largely thanks to its clean, user-friendly design and the overall ease of use found both on the website and the app. This works well for me as I like a site that is not too cluttered visually. The Picklebet app mirrors this user-friendly interface, making it a breeze to bet on the go.
Over and above what it looks like, however, we need to see what it offers for the punter. What really sets Picklebet Australia apart are its unique features like Top 4 Betting and the 10% Boost option, which are not only innovative but add considerable value to your betting experience.
Of course, the best way to fully appreciate what Picklebet has to offer is to sign up and see for yourself. I strongly recommend heading over to Picklebet and giving it a try. I’d be surprised if you didn’t find these features both refreshing and rewarding. Whether you're a seasoned punter or new to the game, Picklebet has something to offer everyone.
My Score: 7.7/10
Score Breakdown
Betting Offerings - 8/10
There is a very impressive amount on offer coming under 3 clear sections on the left of the screen on the website or under the menu in the Picklebet app:
Racing - coverage of all codes in Australian (Horse, Harness and Greyhound) as well as wide coverage of International racing.
Sports - extensive coverage of sports all around the world.
Esports - Picklebet definitely seems to have one of the biggest selections of Esports I have seen amongst any betting sites.
Banking Options - 7/10
It’s not the widest of choices available with Debit Card (Visa and Mastercard) and PayID for Deposits and Bank Transfer for Withdrawals. However they’re quick and that lifts the score here.
Mobile Experience - 9/10
The Picklebet app is very good and takes a lead from the website in terms of easy to navigate and use. No complaints here.
Withdraw Speed - 8/10
Whilst there is no information on Picklebet withdrawal times after having been processed they are processed twice a day. That is a great service in my opinion. Given that the method is bank transfer then I guess it is likely 1-3 days after they are processed.
Overall User Experience - 8/10
Having used the site fairly extensively to be able to write this review I can safely say it’s well above satisfactory. Sign up and depositing was super smooth and once logged in it’s simple to navigate and find the markets you want to bet on. Bets are quick and easy to place and there’s some really good features and Picklebet promotions for signed up punters!.
Customer Support - 5/10
Customer support is there if you need it but it’s pretty simple, as seems to be the norm these days. There’s Picklebet live chat available between 6am and 10pm AEST, and outside of those hours you can get in touch with the team via email - support@picklebet.com. It’s the lack of phone support or betting.
Security - 9/10
All online betting sites in Australia are highly regulated which is great news for us punters. Why? Because it means that you can interact and bet with sites in Australia safe in the knowledge that your money and personal info are safe. Picklebet Australia comes under this umbrella of course and is therefore a super secure site to bet with.
A note from OnlyRacing: Our expert writers perform in-depth research on each sportsbook to provide you with their professional, impartial opinion. However, when you click on certain links in the review and make a deposit, we may receive a commission (don't worry - this costs you nothing).

About Picklebet
I’ve taken Picklebet for a good spin this weekend to get right under the hood of this spicy betting site and give an honest Picklebet review for all you readers out there. So in the rest of this Picklebet review, I am going to cover all areas. I take a look at the following:
- betting markets offered, including Picklebet horse racing
- how to sign up, deposit, and withdraw
- the various products/features that Picklebet Australia puts together for its users
Picklebet Racing
There’s no doubt the Picklebet horse racing offering is very strong as is the coverage of the other two codes in Australia - Harness and Greyhounds. Everything is covered from the big Group One races and horse racing carnivals to the smaller tracks and midweek race days. Plus there is racing from all over the world available for punters to bet on.
The focus is entirely on fixed odds bets and there is a noticeable absence of some of the favourite features of Australian punters, namely Exotics, Futures and Tote betting. On the flipside however Picklebet offers a very enticing feature in Top 4 Betting!
Top 4 Betting, a real highlight of Picklebet horse racing, is available on all Australian racing. This gives the punter the opportunity to back a horse to finish top 2,3 or 4, offering a price for each.
If you like some form and tips to help you make your betting choice then you’ll like Picklebet too as there is a Tips tab on each race market with top 4 selections put forward and there is also a Speed Map tab which will give you that all important idea as to how the runners will land in the run. Finally, there is also a Flucs tab which shows how the prices have moved in the lead up to the race, which again can be a useful indicator as to where to place your bet and is a feature that many like to have available when betting.
In the screenshot below you can see a typical market showing the above features, including the excellent Top 4 Betting.
Picklebet App
The Picklebet app is great and takes a lead from the smooth and simple look and navigation of its big bro - the website!
As soon as you open the app you land on the Picklebet racing section Next to Jump. From there it’s all just a few clicks away. Delve into the cards from one of the 3 Australian codes - Horses, Trots or Dogs - or scour the international racing offerings - it’s very easy.
At the bottom of the screen you can just as quickly venture to see what Sports or Esports market is Next to Go by hitting the easy to recognise buttons. If you want to search a little deeper into Picklebet then you can hit the menu button bottom left and all the options from Picklebet Promotions to Support are once again one click away.
It’s a great app and I’ve found it super simple to use.
Picklebet: Products and Features
Picklebet is rich with products and features and there's plenty to highlight in this Picklebet review.
I’ve already mentioned the fabulous Top 4 Betting. You can back any runner in any of the 3 Australian codes to place in the top 4 of any race. It’s fantastic.
Another product that is offered comes under the moniker of 10% Boost where you get 10% boosted winning paid in Bonus Cash up to $100. It’s offered on almost all of the Australian codes, and also some of the international races, and counts for your first bet only on that race. It’s clear when and where it’s offered from the little orange promo icon next to the race.
Over and above these two relatively unique offerings you’ll also find the more common amongst betting sites Same Race Multis and Same Game Multis. The Same Race Multi is particularly enticing when combining with the Top 4 Betting.
A really leftfield product is the Picklebet Pick’ems, their very own tipping platform. With Pick’ems, Picklebet will invite users to enter their tips on a selected group of matches in any given sport. At the time of writing there are 4 x Pick’ems on offer on the site, one each for Rugby League, Aussie Rules, Soccer and Basketball. They're free to enter with a designated prize pool up for grabs (ranging between $250 and $1000 USD) to be shared between the top 4 finishers.
It’s also worth a mention that all the racing markets have Tips, Speed Maps and often price Flucs offered to help the punter assess the race. I really like this and find it a real help with my betting. Of course you can always look for further information to help you, especially on Australian horse racing where we offer our own free horse racing tips at onlyracing.com.au..
The only real misses in this area are things like Live Betting and Cash Out which are of course fairly popular with a lot of punters but I don’t think this should detract from the fact that all in all Picklebet has a lot to offer the keen punter.
Picklebet Betting Markets
Just as Picklebet Australia does on its betting site, I’m going to group the betting markets under 3 main sections - Racing, Esports and Sports.
- Racing - There’s a huge amount of horse racing markets including the ever popular Group one races from all the top tracks both in Australia and overseas. I guess the major drawback is the lack of Exotic and Tote betting but this is in many ways outweighed by the excellent products / features and promotions / bonuses that Picklebet offer.
- Esports - I have to be honest and say this is an area in which I have no experience nor interest but if it’s your thing then you’ll be well catered for. I’d imagine you’d be hard pushed to find a betting site offering more options in Esports betting.
- Sports Betting - There’s a mountain of sports offered from around the world and the choice is really very impressive. From all the big ones you’d expect - Premier League Soccer, US Basketball etc - to some much more niche sports like Table Tennis and Water Polo. The biggest sports would be the Aussie football codes - NRL and AFL - and Soccer, Basketball and Baseball. They all have a huge amount of markets offered for each game, which when combined with the Same Game Multi product makes the options to build a bet to your choosing almost limitless.

What is Picklebet sign up bonus?
Due to the strict regulations that they have to comply with they are not able to offer promotions and bonuses for signing up to their platform. However once you have signed up there are plenty of promotions / bonuses on offer.
Picklebet Promotions and Bonuses
All licensed Australian bookmakers are restricted by the regulations that they comply with such that they cannot offer any bonus for signing up.
That being said, once you are a registered user there’s a myriad of Picklebet promotions and bonuses offered across the board.
First and foremost there’s a good chance that once you have signed up you’ll be offered a deposit match bonus up to a certain amount.
Then there’s the Promotions tab on the left of the screen under the betting markets which opens up a list of the current Picklebet promotions and bonuses on offer. I’ve already talked about the 10% Boost offered on much of the Australian racing, and some international racing, but it seems daily they also offer a boost within the boost so to speak with 25% boost offered on certain race meetings. See below 2 x examples:
They also like offering bonus back offers if one of your legs fails in a Same Race or Same Game Multi.

How to Withdraw
Hit the My Account link top left of the home page screen and it will take you straight to the Withdraw option.
In the Withdraw section you’ll see just how much of your funds are available to withdraw and you can make a withdrawal by Bank Transfer.
Picklebet Customer Service
I haven’t honestly had any real need to contact them in any way but if you do there’s two options;
Picklebet Live Chat - available from 6am to 10pm AEST
Email - support@picklebet.com for outside live chat hours.
There is no phone option which perhaps isn’t ideal but all in all that is becoming very standard across betting sites so I wouldn’t make that a big miss.
Picklebet Odds and Margins
I think they compare very well from what I experienced when betting with Picklebet, especially when you factor in the excellent 10% Boost product as well as the daily bonus offers on selected race meetings.
