Moody and Nolen combine again and I am hoping this mare can put it all together today. It looked like fitness was to blame when she just missed against a flying Jenniferwish last start at Moe. Has performed at her best on this track, and I think second up she will be charging home over the top of them.

VALUE BET - #3 Oxley Jack
There looks to be no obvious speed in this race outside of Oxley Jack, he has been up for a while but I can see him pinching some cheap sectionals and being there in the finish.

THE DANGER - #1 Suparazi 
Brilliant win last start in this class over the 1400m. Apprentice jockey sticks and gets in at 60kg, definite danger but tricky from the wide draw.

This NZ import is two-from-two after a very strong win first up at Geelong last start and maps well to get the box seat here. Top jockey aboard, the distance should not be an issue and if he is as good on the dry tracks as the wet, he will be very hard to beat.

VALUE BET - #5 Air Defence
This gelding has been performing consistently at this level and above without winning and lands barrier 1 here with a jockey who knows him well and should be in the finish.

THE DANGER - #4 Rhinoceros
This bloke has been competitive in much tougher races than this on paper, should be peaking here third up, should box seat and is the only danger to the fav.

Another NZ import who spanked them for his maiden win last start at Sandown Lakeside. Clearly the best horse in the race, just a query as to whether he has the class on a dry track.

VALUE BET - #7 Gabstar (BEST ROUGHIE)
Conversely, I think this mare will relish the dry deck this time in and will be fitter off her fair first-up performance. Showed ability in a strong BM64 at Sandown Lakeside last preparation, should give this a sight.  

THE DANGER - #2 Obfuscation
Damien Oliver takes the sit on this consistent gelding who just cannot get the head in front on the line, gets another chance here but favourite will be tough to beat.
