BEST BET - #1 Croatian Belle (BEST BET)
My first best bet back on the scene, and we are going with a horse that had an unreal debut. Coming from a slow start to win in soft fashion, Croatian Belle has all the makings to be a top-drawer runner. Follow my best bet here at Moonee Valley!

VALUE BET - #2 Corniche
First start here, but with some top connections that inspires me with full confidence. I back Jason Cummings’ work and John Allen’s understanding of his assignment. Long for my book and with too many supporting factors to leave out. Each-way play.

THE DANGER - #7 Extremely Wicked
I’ve left out Mark Zahra’s ride on Mansiere in this race and opted to inspect Extremely Wicked (with Ben Melham on the reigns). Will jump out early and may be hard to track down come the turn. Keep an eye on this one for the future.

BEST BET - #1 Real Sensation (BEST ROUGHIE) 
As I just touched on with my look-in at Extremely Wicked in Moonee Valley Race 1, I’m a fan of Ben Melham. Any guesses who my jockey of the day will be? Real Sensation is coming off a six-week break and has shown strong runs at this track. Bet each-way.

VALUE BET - #12 Commodus 
Commodus has had issues of tiring early after starting too hard, but this will be the fifth consecutive race with Craig Newitt on the reigns and he is sure to have it figured out. Runs strongly and if he gets his preferred run, will figure. 

THE DANGER - #2 Florida Dream
The favourite in this one, coming off a win at this course and trip seven weeks ago. Ms Hannah Edgley is a sound jockey and will know what to do with Florida Dream. Bit short for me but one to consider no doubt. Consider in multiples.

Four weeks since her last start but rates highly as reflected in the odds. A win here last start at this trip, and a third place here at this trip two starts ago. Seasoned at Moonee Valley and can show out here again. Next best bet at Moonee Valley.

VALUE BET - #5 Starlight Scope
Does her best work after a run and has very strong showings amongst a stronger field. I have her much shorter in my book and will be slapping each-way. Wouldn’t surprise me if she gets over the line first. 

THE DANGER - #3 Extreme Step
Won here on return last start at the same distance. Looks fitter and could spoil the party on my next best bet of the day at Moonee Valley. Michael Dee knows what sort of ride suits her. Should figure in the placings.
