BEST BET - #7 - Touristic - (NEXT BEST)
Touristic made his Aus debut a couple weeks ago at rosehill but has to be forgiven for that as he succumbed to his map from the bad draw but still ran decently behind Danish Prince. His trial was absolutely outstanding and he comes from a flying stable. I think he is a genuine horse due to his overseas form and I am happy to give him another shot here

VALUE BET - #5 - Deficit 
Deficit is on a quick back up here and the stable obviously has good reason for it. He looks suited at this distance and maps to sit just off the speed. I think if Melham can provide a good ride for him he should be winding up late and storming home in the last 200m
 
THE DANGER - #3 Logan Street Lion 
Logan Street Lion is an honest horse who I have been following this prep. I was on him last start at Eagle Farm over the 1600m but he was just plain in defeat being given every chance in that run. 1800m is questionable but he gets Jmac on again and draws barrier one.

BEST BET - #2 - Salire - (BEST BET) 
Crockett knocked off the entire highway trifecta last week, this week hes got just Salire running but he has clearly selected Salire for a reason. He’s been in outstanding form, winning here on Cup day and then finished in great time third to Penthouse. I see no reason why Salire can’t take this out in weaker company.

VALUE BET - #15 - A Guinea 
A guinea resumes here today. His Winter prep was great, winning last time at Tamworth. What reads better however is his close 2nd to the Poacher who really does appear to be a Saturday horse. He’s been quietly trialled once for this but it may be enough as I’m sure they’ve done good work in the paddock with him

THE DANGER - #3 - Penthouse 
Penthouse got the better of Salire last time out. He held them all at bay over the highway after leading them a fortnight ago. He has run well previously at this distance but hasn’t pick up a win yet over the 1100m. The track shouldn’t trouble him at all and I think it’s just a matter if he can settle where he wants (up top) and hold them off again.

BEST BET - #14 - Sunshine In Paris 
Sunshine in Paris looks very hard to beat in this field. Her two starts this preparation have been great both in running and in time. Last time out at Doomben she showed her class, weaving through winners, running hard and fast throughout this navigation and just going down late.

She now is going up against the older horses at 1200m in BM78 grade and as such gets in with 52kg, Has Zac Lloyd on board which takes off another 2kg and they’ll be looking to settle back in the field and hurting them late straight through the middle of the track.

VALUE BET - #13 - Anagain - (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Anagain comes off the back of her first run for the Pride stable two weeks ago over 1100m and did a great job at the good odds when running totally against the race shape, still beaten honestly by 3.5L. This stable knows what they are doing in sydney and she comes into this fitter and smarter with a better draw. She drops in grade as well and steps up in distance. If she can produce her best she will take this out at big odds.

THE DANGER - #4 - Pretty Wild 
Pretty Wild races for the ever prominent Waller stable and comes from just the one trial at Kembla when looking a bit one paced. However, when pushed a bit she picked up hard late and just got beaten by a smart type. Interested to see what she produces on race day

James Mcdonald, there isn’t too much more that needs to be said about this man at Randwick or just about anywhere he goes. However, At Randwick he really is the man with a 36% strike rate and he gets a hefty and nice booking of rides for Saturday.

I think that the early quaddie at Randwick seems a lot more achievable than the later one. Generally the highway would be a massive pain but one of my top selections is running in it and as such I think we have a good shot at hitting it.
