BEST BET - #2 - Garza Blanca - (BEST BET)
Garza Blanca likes the track in these conditions and I think that will be the key here, has shown plenty of talent. Particularly, in his last 2 runs when winning 2 back and placing in his latest outting. He finds a beatable field again and should be fit. I think he wins this.

VALUE BET - #6 - O'tycoon
I think O’tycoon and dropping back 100m in distance is a good combo, just ran out of steam last time out but if he finds the front he could hold these all at bay. Have seen a couple smart punters backing him already so I definitely think at the least is over the odds.
 
THE DANGER - #3 - Daytona 
Daytona is another who i think the softer ground really suits, picked up a nice, smart win at Warwick before being sent to the paddock for 7 weeks then resumed at Cantebrury when getting bumped around in traffic and still chased hard but never got clear. He can win this.

The Bryce Heys mare resumes here and hasn’t raced since the end of July when on a heavy track still beaten not by that much. She has a very good first up record and has trialled nicely for this. I think she will be sitting off the speed and running over them late.

VALUE BET - #1 - Rupertaar
Rupertaar just ran out of steam last time out but showed talent and was impressive in defeat, finishing 3rd. The Bjorn Baker mare is hard fit now, back to mares grade and I think she can run a cheeky race into the placings.

THE DANGER - #2 - Pretty Wild
Pretty Wild was a bit one paced when resuming at Kembla but had a soft trial prior and showed some talent there. I think she appeals here in the small field and thin race. Fitness will help her run style a lot

BEST BET - #3 - Steely
Steely will be hard to beat, the 2000m was too long but now comes back to the mile after a run at the mile a couple weeks ago when attempting to lead, sitting box seat and being run over late in the end. I think that with a couple in front of him he will run better and be hard to contend with late.

VALUE BET - #2 - Purple Sector - (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Purple Sector looks rock hard fit and while the form might not be much on paper, he steps up in trip now, meets softer competition than he has dealt with prior when managing 5 placings this prep and with Nash on if he can cross and find a good spot he could take this out.

THE DANGER - #5 - Bullfinch 
Bullfinch comes into this three weeks between runs after racing at this track and distance but he wasn’t suited by the sit and sprint. However, what he showed late when powering to the line is the signs of a progressive horse and with a much softer run he looks like he should be in the finish.

Tyler Schiller gets a nice booking of rides and has been very in form at Randwick. I like the apprentice jockey but what I like more is how much the big stables trust him, he returns to a few previous rides as well and I like his odds in the TAB jockey challenge.
