Wednesday Racing Tips - Warwick Farm 21/12/22

New South Wales are racing back up at Warwick farm for consecutive weeks to close out the year with a seven race card. The rail is out +5m from the 1000m to the post and the rest of the circuit is out +3m. We can expect pretty perfect conditions, with moderate weather, not much wind and the sun to be out. The track is rated a good 4 and I expect it to stay that way.

I have outlined below some spots of the meeting I am keen on, including my best of the day and next best. Additionally, I have found a roughie for the day, a multi to follow over the race card as well as a trifecta and a quaddie.

I’m looking forward to closing out the year in a big way, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all.

Warwick Farm Race 1 – Class 1 HCP (1500m)

Selections:
#7 - Just Glamourous  - $3.70 - (NEXT BEST)
#2 – Flying Trapeze - $4.00
#3 - He’s All Style - $5.50
#5 – Royal Entrance - $5.50

BEST BET - #7 - Just Glamourous - (NEXT BEST)
Tipping in the maidens here and that’s because there are two that I'm quite keen on but in particular Just Glamorous. She is the second foal of Waterhouse’s dual group 1 winner Global Glamour. She was bought for $900K at the Magic millions and has trialled up to her price. I think she has the makings of a super talented filly and in a race without much depth I think she can make it 1/1 here.

VALUE BET - #3 - He’s All Style
He’s All Style comes next for me as the ever prominent Snowden camp and Mcevoy combine. This camp has been the one to follow for the first starters and they often bring forward some of their better first starters this time of year. He has been trialling well with a win and placing in his two public trials and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he was in the finish.

THE DANGER - #2 – Flying Trapeze
Flying Trapeze looks to have a good chance of breaking Maiden here after trialling excellently and finding a very winnable race, having run into some smart horses prior to this race. Tyler Schiller gives him a 1.5kg weight drop and he draws barrier two, seems hard to beat here. Both of his runs this prep have been forgives and he has still been massive in those two runs, powering home from the back in both.

Warwick Farm Race 6 – BM64 HCP (1600m)

Selections:
#6 - De An Andretti - $2.60 (BEST BET)
#13 – Junqueira - $3.90
#1 – Embeller - $13.00
#7 – Diamond Dealer - $14.00

BEST BET - #6 - De An Andretti  - BEST BET
De an Andretti could shape up to be an extraordinary horse, he looked like a group 1 horse at Hawkesbury when winning on debut and was then a $4 pop in the furious stakes when resuming. Unfortunately she had some issues and we didn’t get to see her at her best then. She was sent back to the paddock and the stable has worked with her slowly and patiently, trialling her often and I think it will pay off well here for them. She looks well primed to strike here and I am very keen to see what happens.

VALUE BET - #1 – Embeller
Embeller is a good horse. He has been running well this campaign with 2 placings in 4 runs and most recently 3rd behind a smart type at Canterbury 2 weeks ago. He takes a small claim here, draws well and rates on top of these. I think he’s over the odds here.

THE DANGER - #13 – Junqueira
Junqueira is the threat here and for good reason. She was extremely impressive at her only start at Hawkesbury winning there with a race best last 600m and navigating through trouble to continue storming home in the last 200m to win softly with a fast time. Gets Jmac on today which is a massive jockey upgrade and draws nicely. Think that she will be better for 2 nice trials leading into this and will make this an exciting race

Warwick Farm Race 7 – BM64 Hcp (1400)

Selections:
#16 – Sunshine in Paris - $4.00
#14  – Comrade Rosa - $6.00
#15 – Royal Merchant - $8.00 (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
#6 – Gundy Bridge - $3.60

BEST BET - #16 – Sunshine in Paris
Sunshine in Paris was excellent first up and really showed some talent when winning at Canberra and absolutely blasting them in the last 200 metres. Was luckless thereafter at Doomben when still scraping into the placings, hitting the line hard in the last 150 metres when stuck wide and then in traffic throughout. Alysha collett jumps back on board and from barrier 9 she should find plenty of cover and be ready to storm over these late. I am very keen to see what the combination can produce on race day.

VALUE BET - #15 – Royal Merchant - (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Royal Merchant is the value play in this race and the up and comer here. Has been traversing through the ranks nicely with 2 wins in 2 runs this campaign, last time out as an odds on favourite as Kensington he showed a lot of promise with an impressive last 600 and overall race, looks up to the task of saturday racing and the stable may be priming him for just that with this race. Looks well suited at this distance and if he can replicate the same race pattern he has exhibited in these last 2 winning runs I don’t see why he can’t get it done At Warwick Farm this week.

THE DANGER - #14 - Comrade Rosa
Comrade Rosa gets in light here and gets Jmac on so immediately has to be considered. She comes off 2 placings in 3 runs this prep and looks to be coming into this rock hard fit. At last start she was disturbed when bumped at the 350 and held up early, also racing a bit too keenly early, still managing to produce a great time over the 1250 at Kensington. Think she will be all the better for those last 3 runs and if she can get clear running here she will be prominent in this field.

Jockey Of The Day – Dylan Gibbons

The always in form apprentice Dylan Gibbons gets a nice booking of rides this week at Warwick farm, he loves this track and is one of the top 5 jockeys here. I’m always happy to follow D Gib and think he can give the tab jockey challenge a good crack at Warwick farm this Wednesday.

Multi Tips For Warwick Farm

Multis are a great way of collateralising your risk and simultaneously boosting your odds as you combine multiple legs into one bet, multiplying the odds of each leg together.

A useful function of multi betting is the ability to make a place multi, where you combine a number of runners in different races to come in the placings. As such I have taken my most confident picks and combined them into a place multi for this week at Warwick farm.

Follow my Multi below for Warwick Farm this Wednesday:

Warwick Farm R1 - #2 – Flying Trapeze - PLC $1.70

Exotic Tips For Warwick Farm

I have a trifecta for tomorrow at Warwick farm as we aim to hit it big on the feature race of the day and in addition I also have a quaddie to follow for the stronger races of the day. I am not too concerned with track conditions as the day progresses as we are forecast to have pretty idyllic conditions so follow me below and let's try to grab some value on the exotics betting.

Exotics are an essential part of punting for any knowledgeable horse racing fan. They can be some of the best ways to boost your returns but can be quite a confusing set of bet types to get your head around. At only racing we have a bet type information page for this reason so make sure to check it out for clarification on anything.

Follow my Warwick Farm trifecta on race 1 for a fun opener to the day:

Trifecta Tip (Warwick Farm R1)

1st - 2, 7
2nd - 2, 7
3rd - 3, 5, 6

$50 stake = 833% Flexi (VIC TOTE)

Quaddie Tip (Warwick Farm R4-7)

R4 - 1, 2, 8
R5 - 1, 2, 3, 6
R6 - 1, 6, 13
R7 - 2, 6, 9, 14, 16

$50 stake = 27% Flexi (VIC TOTE)

In recent times, exotic bets have become way more popular with Aussie punters!

As a brief explanation, exotic bets include many runners into a single bet with dividend odds. It’s a great way to include more runners in races you are unsure about. I suggest giving it a try (it’s also very fun). Or check out our bet information page!

Best Promotions for Warwick Farm

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for midweek racing I wouldn’t look past uni bet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
