BEST BET - #1 - The Milkybar Kid - (BEST BET) 
This horse has taken a win on debut at Kensington when $3 chance in the market, looked better than a midweek horse there and then went to warwick when placing 3rd of 6 and 1st of 2 in 2 respective runs on the heavy going but didn’t look that suited on that ground. Has had 2 trials leading up to this the most recent on the good going and I look forward to seeing how he runs on race day.

THE DANGER - #6 - Rosovo 
James Cummings must be respected always and Rosovo is an honest horse who deserves a win this prep, with three close second placings and a third placing in 5 runs, he doesn’t have too much weight on his back and if he can hold form think that the in form apprentice Reece Jones.

VALUE BET - #7 - Tidal Creek 
Tidal Creek comes into this rock hard fit and should be better than reads on paper, was wide in the latter stages of last run but looks ready to peak third up and gets a good run from the soft draw, Beyliss on board.

BEST BET - #5 - Iron Will - (NEXT BEST) 
Billy Owen retains the ride again on Iron Will as the Burleigh stable progresses this horse through the grades. Looks suited here off last win when leading all the way and never being threatened. Only gets 1 extra kg from that run here and is undefeated in both its runs so far. Debut win was on the Heavy but the most recent win was over this distance and the same conditions at Moruya. Maps to get the lead and think he will be hard to run down.

THE DANGER - #8 - Zanzibar Gem 
Zanzibar hasn’t raced since the beginning of November when on a Bogged track at Muswellbrook as a very short favourite. Still, looks to be a very smart type and two of the horses in that race have already picked up wins since. Has a trial leading up to this and gets a huge jockey upgrade with Jmac on. If he can be steered right which I think he can then he may be able to take this out. Big danger.

VALUE BET - #6. Hamaki 
 Hamaki Resumed off a big spell last start at Hawkesbury and won as an odds on fav when didn’t have the run of the race, racing wide without cover and still drawing clear in the last 200m, maps to get a similar run here and josh parr retains the ride. Others may just be a bit smarter than him..

BEST BET - #2 - HUON 
James Cummings and Nash combine on Huon, who has been absolutely flying mostly under Zac Lloyd with 2 wins and 2 second placings. Seems a smart type who is holding form and will always be hard to beat, gets the run from the gun draw. Huon is free running and will look to roll forward and hold them off. 

THE DANGER - #12 - Cadetship 
Chris Waller and Jmac are the danger combo here with Cadetship who surprised punters to get the job done at big odds over the 1200m at Newcastle on a soft track when kept chasing to find the front in the last 150m and looks to improve here, gets in light and draws well

VALUE BET - #5 - Halo Warrior - (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)  
Halo Warrior is looking for a Hattrick of wins after claiming 2 in a row at Wagga over the 1200m on good going, whilst racing in stronger competition now I think that Halo Warrior is showing the makings of a smart horse and Rachel King takes over from Ward, we will see how they fair on race day.
